We are excited to announce our stalls at two UCLU volunteering fairs in October:

The Big Volunteering Fair

When: Thursday, 5th October 2017

Where: Wilkins Building, South Cloisters

UCLU Info:

“Organised by UCLU’s Volunteering Services Unit, There will be more than 80 different charities and student-run community projects to have a chat with, including Save the Children, UCL Student Hospital Fun Team, Bloomsbury Festival, IntoUniversity, NSPCC, St John’s Ambulance, Camden LGBT Forum, The Conservation Volunteers, Teenage Cancer Trust, Generating Genius, Mayhew Animal Home, The Hackney Pirates, University College Hospital London, Handel House Museum, London Nightline, UCLU MEDucate, Richard House Children’s Hospice, UCL Baking Project, The Science Museum and more!”

As John Braime, UCLU Volunteering Manager, said: “Volunteering is a big part of student life at UCL; it’s a good way to get to know London better, meet new people, and experience the world away from the lecture theatres, labs and libraries. You’ll also boost your chances of finding paid work. We hope to see you at the Fair.”

The Health Volunteering Fair

When: Thursday 12th October 2017

Where: Wilkins Building, South Cloisters

Our interactive stall: We will be asking you to answer one of the core medical questions we currently face by voting with a token into one of three categories. At the end of day, we’ll be releasing the results LIVE via our Facebook page.

UCLU Info:

“Do you have a particular interest in healthcare, social care, or medicine?  You could be a campaigner, an educator, or a life line.

The Health Volunteering Fair is for students and staff interested in healthcare, medicine and health promotions.  You can meet up to 30 charities and organisations, including Resources for Autism, Action On Hearing Loss, StreetDoctors, to discuss their volunteering opportunities.

A full list of exhibitors will be made available closer to the event.

You can also see guest stalls from: UCL Marrow and Evidence Based Medicine+! “

These fairs provide the perfect chance for UCL students to see all the fantastic volunteering opportunities available to them thanks to UCLU VSU.

So come along and meet the EBM+ team! (we’ll be the ones smiling a lot and wearing our white EBM+ T-shirts).
