EBM+ is a 3-year collaborative project aimed at improving the ways that evidence is used to answer medical questions. Our most important pathway to impact is to engage school-age students at KS4 & KS5.

We’re particularly interested in working with these groups to explore their needs and narratives as they begin to take charge of making decisions about their own health. To do this, we run a volunteering programme with UCL students called ‘Your Health, Your Evidence’ (YHYE) that aims to bring this piece of cutting-edge research into the classroom.

By the end of the programme, AS & A level students will be able to make independent, informed decisions about what works through the generation of good quality evidence, and how to use it thoughtfully.

We thank our funding bodies and associated institutions for supporting us and making YHYE possible: Arts and Humanities Research Council, University College London (Science and Technology Studies Department), University of Kent, University of Amsterdam
